New & Returning Student Enrollment

If you are new (or returning) to our area and need to enroll your student, please click on the link below for Online Registration.

Please note that after completing online registration, it may take 2-3 days for your student to start during the school year.

Open Enrollment

The first round of open enrollment is now closed for the 24/25 school year.

Round two is open from 1.22.24 to 8.1.24 at 4PM. Please click the link below to start the open enrollment process.

If you are open enrolled at a neighborhood school, or attend a charter school, but would like to return to the neighborhood school associated with your address for the next school year (2024/25), you must submit an Intent to Return form (linked HERE) no later than January 10, 2024.

All 6th grade elementary students who live in the Ranch View Middle School boundaries will automatically roll over to RVMS for middle school. If you open enrolled your student to your elementary school and you do not live within the RVMS boundaries but you would like your student to attend RVMS, you will need to complete open enrollment for your student. If you live in another school's boundaries, your student will roll to the school that is assigned to your current primary address.

NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS

Special Education records which have been collected by Douglas County School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of special education in the district, must be maintained under state and federal laws for the period of five (5) years after special education services have ended for the student. Special education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, or completes his/her educational program at age 21, or moves from the district. This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of Douglas County School District's intent to destroy the special education records of students who exited special education services as of June 30, 2016. These records will be destroyed in accordance with state law unless the parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student notifies the school district otherwise. After five years, the records are no longer useful to the district, but may be useful to the parent/guardian or former student in applying for social security benefits, rehabilitation services, college entrance, etc. The parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student may request a copy of the records by requesting the records at this link ( Douglas County School District Transcripts and Records Requests ).
